So much work to do outside. I started seeds for cherry, plum and rainbow tomatoes, zucchini, jalepeños, cayenne peppers, swiss chard and beans. It’s been so rainy and I’ve been too busy on the not rainy days to start working in the backyard but I’m putting everything on hold tomorrow. It’s a crazy amount of work to start a (small) farm but I’m determined and fresh veggies, fruit and herbs are just so much better when you know exactly where they came from. Pesticides are wreaking havoc on our bodies and on our farms and it’s so important to know what you’re eating! One of my favorite memories as a kid was going into my moms garden with a little salt and pepper and eating fresh tomatoes straight off the vine. Nothing better! I’m so excited for my little girl to help me too, she’s totally into gardening.
