I swam in the brook at the bottom of my road all weekend. It’s a great spot in the summer. I guess it isn’t officially summer yet anyway. It has all these deep pools and shallow stretches, the water is cold but so fresh and clean. I’m kind of excited to swim at my dads beach in Asharoken just because salt water feels SO different than fresh water and I’m sure it will be a little warmer too.
I’m making vegan tapioca right now, using coconut milk instead of cows milk. A slight variation of Bobby Flay’s recipe. If you only buy one cook your whole life, I highly recommend his “Mesa Grill” cookbook. It has some of my favorite recipes in it and I always make the side dishes and sauces, I love the flavors he creates. He seems like he would be kind of a douche in real life but he’s definitely a culinary genius.
