Eat More Plants.

Summer in Vermont.

This is what it’s all about! Enjoying each season. Squeezing every last drop out of every crop. Strawberries are over, raspberries have another week or so and then it’s time for blueberries. Fresh berries straight from the bush; really nothing compares! I froze a few gallons of blueberries that we picked at my neighbors orchard last year and they lasted us right up until last month. I used them in smoothies, muffins, cakes and pancakes. I gave two pints of raspberries to my neighbors and now I’m looking up recipes for what to do with the rest. I’m sure most of them will be eaten by us straight from the baskets but I’d love to make a raspberry jam or mousse. Or scones? I dunno yet.
