A little bit of everything that was ripe for the picking.
From the top, clockwise: baby lettuce & daylily buds, string beans, raspberries, zucchini, radishes, kale and in the center: pea shoots, violas & tomatoes.
Yes, daylilies are edible! I didn’t know that until recently. The buds and flowers can be fried just like squash blossoms or eaten raw.
This is the kind of stuff that makes me happy. Reaping my rewards. Hard work pays off…and is delicious to boot.
